The goal of The Suzanne Rogers Fashion Institute (SRFI) is to educate, support, promote, and advocate for new talent at Ryerson University in fashion craftship and design. Click here to help support the next generation of Canadian design talent.

Talented, enthusiastic, unique, and informed are just a few of the qualities that describe fellows of the SRFI. These individuals will receive support through a variety of opportunities aimed at realizing the promise of their full potential. In order to identify the most promising talent, acceptance of fellows into the SRFI will be done via application.

Second, third, and fourth year Fashion Design students and recent Fashion Design graduates from Ryerson University are eligible to apply. A selection committee will review applications and invite candidates to an interview. Up to three fellows will be admitted each year.

Application deadline: April 30, 2021 at 5:00pm EST.

The SRFI fellowship program is unique in the Canadian fashion landscape attracting fellows early in their academic and creative careers. With the launch of the SRFI, undergraduate students from third and fourth year fashion design along with recent graduates undergo a competitive selection process to become Fellows of the Institute. The SRFI provides perspective for an exceptional group of students and alumni working in the field to bridge the transition from their fashion education to practice.

Made possible through a gift from The Edward and Suzanne Rogers Foundation, the SRFI in The Creative School at Ryerson University supports emerging Canadian fashion designers nationally and internationally.
